Does Your Small Business Print In Color A Lot? The HP Color LaserJet CP1515n Is The Right Printer For You

It’s a fact of life that old printers wear out and that the printing needs of a household or home office frequently change. If it’s time to consider a new printer, the multitude of brands and models makes it difficult to choose one over another. It doesn’t have to be a complete roll of the dice, though. For example, let’s look at why a HP Color LaserJet cp1515n printer with HP Color LaserJet CP1515n replacement toner might be good for a home office or just regular family use.

There isn’t a way to dodge the printer ink bullet, at least not one that is manufacturer-based. In other words, whatever printer you buy, the price of ink cartridges will always make you cringe. When looking through new printer models, don’t let the cost of each cartridge affect your judgment or kill the incentive to buy a new printer.

There’s typically at least one number that is a little misleading in every technology product and printers are no exception to this rule. For printing tech, though, duty cycle is the number to ignore. It doesn’t reflect a real-world estimate of how this printer will hold up. Rather, check out the recommended volume figure, since it’s supposed to be a more realistic estimate of how a printer will perform under the best of conditions. Compare that to how many pages the printer is expect to handle per month.

In this case, the printer can be expected to print between 250 and 1000 pages per month, as per HP’s recommended monthly page volume. This reflects use in keeping with the intentions of the design and the warrantee.

The manufacturer’s specifications place the cp1515n at a printing speed at up to 12 pages per minute for black and white pages and up to 8 pages per minute for color uses. Its input tray handles up to 150 sheets of paper and its output tray holds 125 sheets. So, the printer isn’t exactly high volume, but it serves the needs of slightly more than normal household use.

Ink cartridge capacity is also a factor in deciding whether a particular printer suits a user’s needs. If a printer cartridge has to be replaced frequently, then a printer with a larger intended volume should probably replace it. The HP Color LaserJet CP1515n replacement toners produce approximately 750 pages of color as well as 750 pages of black and white printing.

As for image quality, the newer HP models, like the HP Color LaserJet cp1515n printer, use a technology called HP ColorSphere that has significantly improved the text and color of the materials it produces. A number of users cite a noticeable difference in the quality of the printings from previous models that they’ve owned.

The software that comes bundled with the HP Color LaserJet cp1515n printer gives a pretty good idea of what the printer is capable of, so it’s at least worth an initial install. It probably won’t see continued use, as very little bundled printer software does, but the HP Marketing Resources package can help with some sophisticated advertising materials. You will also need some LaserJet CP1515n ink and toner. If you purchase your HP toner cartridges online, you may be able to save money on your toner.
