a ebay seller has listed 6.7mm 1.3 super wide century movie lens?
THIS SELLER INSIST CENTURY WEST WAS A COMPANY FROM 20 YEARS AGO OUT OF BUSSINESS. THIS IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH CENTURY OPTICS/SCHNEIDER NO SEARCH I HAVE DONE HAS ANY RECORD THAT A CENTURY WEST COMPANY EVER EXISTED. PLEASE FORWARD ANY INPUT. I FEEL SELLER IS USING “CENTURY OPTICS TO CONFUSE BUYERS WITH WHAT LOOKSLIK A CCTV VIDEO TV LENS.
I looked at the auction in question… The guy has great feedback and there are several people bidding…but what bothers me is that there are no pictures of the barrel of the lens, and no pics showing any maker’s markings. My gut says it’s probably OK, but I’d want to see more pictures before bidding. Ask him for more pics. Bear in mind this is a movie camera lens, and not for a still camera. If you are in doubt, then pass. I do hope this helped somewhat.
